Carlos Hernandez Ocampo
U.S. Navy Veteran and Attorney Carlos Hernandez Ocampo formed Emergence Law with a deep commitment to empowering the dreamers, entrepreneurs, and visionaries of Kentucky and beyond. Nothing is more precious to Carlos than the dreams of his fellow Kentuckians. He is honored to use his expertise as an attorney to support his community.
Carlos has devoted his life to making meaningful connections with the people he meets. His passion for communication and open dialogue has led him to learn several languages to better communicate and understand the cultures he works with. He speaks fluent English, Spanish, Bosnian, and Italian.
Art is in his blood, from applying creative concepts to complex legal issues to innovating ways to deal with traditional corporate problems. His passion for art, business, law, and veterans is visible in everything he does.
Liz Cahill
As Emergence Law’s Legal Project Manager, Liz ensures everything runs smoothly.
Liz is an Attorney at Law licensed in the State of Kentucky. While in law school, she was Vice President of the Black Law School Association. She also worked in the Ackerson Mediation Clinic and Domestic Violence Clinic, where she fought alongside licensed attorneys for the rights of the marginalized and the disenfranchised. Before attending law school, she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Acadia University with a concentration in neuroscience.
Additionally, Liz worked as a counselor for teen girls in the foster care system and continues to volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in Jefferson County. Liz enjoys spending time with friends, hanging out with her two dogs, Maeve and Jo, and working to better her community. Liz is excited to bring her passion for the law, truth, and justice to Emergence Law!
